A pequena aldeia produz uma variedade chamada gongjiao (Pimenta Tribute), tão apreciada pelos seus muitos usos que era oferecida em tributo ao imperador. É colhida à mão com extremo cuidado para preservar os seus óleos delicados. Lançada inteira em cozidos e estufados longos ou assada e moída para temperar pratos icónicos como o mapo tofu e o porco cozido duas vezes, a gongjiao acabada de colher eletriza os pratos com a característica especiaria entorpecente de Sichuan e um bouquet cítrico intenso.
