Nos poivrons Tribute sont cultivés dans le village de Qingxi. Ce petit village produit une variété appelée gongjiao (poivron Tribute), si prisée pour ses multiples usages qu'elle était offerte en hommage à l'empereur. Il est cueilli à la main avec une extrême délicatesse pour préserver ses huiles subtiles. Jeté entier dans les braisés et ragoûts longs ou rôti et moulu pour couronner des plats emblématiques comme le mapo tofu et le porc deux fois cuit, le gongjiao fraîchement récolté électrise les plats avec le piquant emblématique du Sichuan et un bouquet d'agrumes enivrant.
